Some Good News

I found out today that my second full length manuscript Butter Sad (my new/thesis manuscript) made it to the next round in the Quercus Review Press book contest. I'm so excited that this very new manuscript got some recognition. 

To celebrate I watched one of my favorite movies for, like, the millionth time. 

My book, Inappropriate Sleepover, being published by The National Poetry Review Press, is scheduled to be out this spring.

I just uploaded two poetry videos which you can watch here.

One of the videos has two poems that are in my book coming out this spring. The other video has two poems I wrote in 2013 that are in the manuscript I'm working on now.

Lit Mag Party

I got back to Akron, Ohio (oh, Akron) late in the day on Saturday. I had a wonderful holiday break in central Iowa. It went way too fast.

When I got back to Akron, I had copies of literary magazines that had recently published poems of mine waiting for me.

I have two poems in the latest issue of Sugar House Review. You can order copies here. You can also get a sneak peak of the issue for free online including one of my poems from the issue.

I have two poems in Red Moon District, an anthology from Underground Voices. You can order it on amazon. One of my poems is called "The Odd Couple Remake."

I have a poem in the newest issue of The Alarmist out of the UK. It's really colorful. You can order copies here.

Just found out I had a new poem accepted by Barely South Review. It will be in the Spring 2014 issue.

Issue Seven of Dressing Room Poetry Journal is out now. The issue features poetry by Paul David Atkins, Emily Grace Bernard, Kristy Bowen, April Michelle Bratten, Janet Butler, John Estes, Ruth Foley, Ricky Garni, William Greenway, Gail Hosking, Peycho Kanev, Dan Sicoli, Aden Thomas, Elizabeth Weaver, and Laura Grace Weldon as well as an interview with Kate Greenstreet by Sarah Dravec.

Updates

My book forthcoming from the National Poetry Review Press is coming out in 2014.

My MFA thesis is a whole new full length manuscript. I graduate in May.

Issue Seven of Dressing Room Poetry Journal will be out very soon.
