Butter Sad Update

I found out last Thursday that my second full length manuscript Butter Sad was a semi-finalist (one of the top twelve manuscripts) in the Permafrost Book Prize in Poetry contest. I was excited to get this news so soon after the collection was a finalist and honorable mention in another contest this spring. I'm so happy that people are enjoying and connecting with the manuscript.

Dressing Room Poetry Journal contributor Leah Browning has a new chapbook out from Dancing Girl Press that includes her poem from Issue Four. The chapbook is called In the Chair Museum and you can order it here. There are also broadsides of "Any Day Now" (the poem from Dressing Room) with artwork by Sarah Browning.

Things have been so busy this spring that I have been slower than usual reading and responding to Dressing Room submissions. I am starting to pick up the pace though and I am excited about Issue Eight. I'm flattered by the high number of submissions.
